January 2016 Career Conference Results
After navigating some East Coast storms and 100 knot headwinds, the candidates, companies and Cameron-Brooks team have returned home safely from our first Career Conference of 2016! We are now starting the very busy process of helping coordinate all of the follow-up interviews which will take place over the next 18 working days. 57 candidates , 16 spouses/support team members, and over 40 companies were in attendance. Additionally, 27 Cameron-Brooks alumni attended the Conference returning to hire on behalf of their companies. The candidates averaged 13.3 interviews, slightly higher than last year’s average and over 750 interviews were conducted at the Conference on Monday and Tuesday! As a group, the pursuit rate was over ~57%, with the pursuit rate defined as the number of interviews in which the candidates achieved success divided by the total number of their interviews. Achieving success in an interview at the Career Conference simply means the companies expressed interest in moving forward in the interview process with the candidate. So, for this Conference, the January Candidates converted, on average, 7.5 of those 13.3 interviews into a successful interview.
Below are some testimonials from January Conference candidates sharing their experiences:
If you are considering a transition from the military to Corporate America, it is never too early to start preparing. Over the next two months, Cameron-Brooks recruiters will be traveling to Los Angeles, CA; Honolulu, HI; San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA; Killeen, TX; El Paso, TX; Saint Roberts, MO; Fayetteville, NC; Jacksonville, NC; Manhattan, KS; Tacoma, WA; Bremerton, WA; Watertown, NY; and Groton, CT. If you cannot make one of these visits, we also offer live and recorded Webcasts on, “Considering a Business Career? What You Should Know,” and we can conduct phone and Skype Video personal sessions. Take control of your career, set a goal, develop a plan of action, prepare, and when you do you will reduce the variability in your results and reach your goals.
Congratulations to all of the January Career Conference candidates for a great conference! Lots of work yet to be done and we are excited to be a part of it.
